Sadly, my parrots are no longer with us. Otto, the blue head pionus managed to escape from his outdoor cage in May of 2008. TJ didn’t handle it well and we had to “rehome” him November 2008. We still have Luigi the lovebird and Bluey the parakeet/budgie. I recently discovered several “bird” videos on my hard drive and plan on editing and uploading them. =====

In the fall, many supermarkets carry pomegranate pips (seeds) already separated and ready to eat. Kind of pricey, but a nice treat once a year.

Yeah, it was difficult when I discovered he’d escaped. This may sound odd, but had he gotten killed by my dog or cat I think it would have been easier to deal with. Not because the “blame” could be shifted away from me, but so that I knew his fate. He was outside getting some sun and when I went to give him a treat he was gone. No sign of him and he had fully feathered wings. The odds that he survived in the wild, or became someone else’s pet aren’t realistic.

They’re very popular around Christmas and our stores are LOADED with them at this time of year. I’m personally not that fond of them (except for that fantastic juice!) and my birds won’t even touch them!

I like poms. Had a Parrot once, only for some reason it did not like my wife. He pecked at her all of the time, and they can hurt. I gave him to my brother, and he renamed him Groucho. He died last year, and my brother was very sad as they became very close.
Back then skating was a way of life, nowdays skating is a way of making big bucks.
