Making a Bird Feeder With Bird Feeder Plans

Following a set of bird feeder plans is one quick and easy project you can undergo to help you bring the wild closer to your home by attracting various types of birds into your backyard. Bird feeders are ideal for devoted bird watchers and nature enthusiasts as they bring birds closer to you than is normally possible in the wilderness. And the best part is the fact that making a feeder does not require much time, depending on the intricacy of the style and design, and is affordable to do.

In fact, if you would like to take the easy method and make up your own bird feeder plans, it is quite likely that you’ve got the supplies needed to make your feeder spread around your home. All that is required is a few scrap pieces of wood, some wood glue, and a couple of dowel rods. Painting or decorating it really is optional.

The size of the feeder that you need to construct is going to be decided by the types of birds you would like to visit it. A lot of bird feeder plans include the construction of a big platform to ensure that bigger birds such as blue jays, cardinals, and wood peckers will be able to land and balance their body weight. You should not make it too large though because sizeable platforms can quite often support squirrels as well.

Whatever kind of feeder you wish to build, you’ll need a good set of bird feeder plans to follow. Although bird feeders are typically uncomplicated to build, following an incomplete set of plans can lead to a total disaster. Constructing a feeder can be fun and the results of your work gratifying.

This video was started after the squirrel had already been spinning for a while. Most squirrels “spin-off” right away but this one was determined to hang on! It finally took a bang on the window to convince him to jump off. After landing he laid spread out on the ground until he finally regained his balance. Hilarious!
